I’m available to do seed syllables or mantras upon request, based upon the requirements of the person commissioning it. I work with a variety of materials including ink, mineral colors and gold. The types of supports that I use include canvas and an array of different kinds of paper. The primary scripts used in Tibetan liturgies are U-chen and Lantsa, but I also work with Siddham script.

Mantras are an integral part of tantric practice. They are the expression of pure mind through sound. Their calligraphic manifestation stems from Sanskrit and later evolved into different forms through cultural and geographical migration.
Below are a few samples using different media and the different types of script:

Seed Syllables

Seed syllables or Bijas are the form manifestation of emptiness “shunyata”. They arise in awareness as the birth of the deity. It is from these sacred syllables that the light body of deities emerge. The 3 syllables Om Ah  and Hung specifically represent the enlightened body speech and mind of all deities.
